So, that was insane
The two youngest kids were due for their immunizations. Why not take them both at the same time? It's easier to make one trip instead of two. Sure! Sounds great! Seeing as how our insurance doesn't cover immunizations (thank you, Big Yellow), we went to the health department.
Zach went first and he did really well. Poor guy took the majority of shots with five sticks. Meagan was next with her three. Then we learned that Haley needed to finish up a couple of her shots. And she was able to get her started on school immunizations. Only problem- I had been telling her all day that she wasn't getting any shots. Needless to say, she was less than thrilled and expressed her displeasure by screaming her guts out while getting immunized.
All in all, there were 12 shots between the three kids.
If anything, I saved nearly a thousand bucks by going to the health department. But being the germaphobe that I am, I wanted to scrub the top layer of skin off of all four of us, shower in antibacterial gel, and burn every piece of clothing that touched any part of the health department.
My throat is starting to hurt.
