The Times They Are a-Changin'

Troy Aikman wants you back
Willie Nelson wants you back
NASA wants you back
And the Bush twins want you back
And Pantera wants you back
And Blue Bell wants you back

Come back to Texas
Its just not the same since you went away
Before you lose your accent
And forget all about the Lone Star State
There's a seat for you at the rodeo
And I've got every slow dance saved
-Lyrics from "Ohio (Come Back to Texas)" by Bowling For Soup

Yep. I've wondered when I'd post on here about moving back to Texas. And it seems as if the time has come. I don't know that I really believe it yet. Besides, Brad hasn't even had his face-to-face yet. But as long as his future co-workers aren't the Devil incarnate, I think it's a go.

This company (Concentra) really, really, really wants him. He's only the second job candidate to be flown down on the company's dime in six years, and he's the ONLY person that has been extended a job without having a face-to-face interview.

We'll know for certain next Monday. Monday!

Willow Creek, Saddleback, mega-churches REQUIRE tithing for membership??

I ran across this in Wikipedia today and was *stunned*:

There has also been much controversy with the introduction of "membership covenants" in many evangelical churches in North America, spearheaded by many mega-churches. These covenants, such as those introduced at the Willow Creek and Saddleback mega-churches, require giving 10% to that church as a condition of membership. Prospective members must sign off on a contract and are interviewed regarding their lifestyle, including tithing.

I realize that Wikipedia is not an unbiased resource. If you are a Willow Creek, Saddleback or mega-church member, I would appreciate any information that would either confirm or deny this.

Thanks.
