"Can I tell you just how much I love living in Texas?"
I say this at least once a day to Brad. I am thrilled down to my very core at being back in Texas. Absolutely thrilled.
The weather has been great! Brad and I joke that it's God's way of easing us into Texas summers, and that next year we had better be prepared for a blast furnace.
Brad is LOVING his job. This project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. They looked for a qualified candidate almost a year, seriously interviewed twenty applicants, and offered the position sight-unseen to one person. :) The atmosphere is very relaxed and is quite a change from Caterpillar. He also doesn't have to spend his day in endless meetings. He comes home from a day of coding and is beaming. I haven't seen him this happy with work- EVER.
We've also found a really great church. It's a breath of fresh air for our spiritual well-being. It's good for the soul to find a place where you feel like you belong just as you are. Couple that with solid Bible teaching plus amazing worship, and you've got an awesome church! Here's their website.
As for me, I am thrilled to be back. I don't feel that crushing depression that was a constant companion in Illinois. I try not to analyze the whys and wherefores of the change in my emotional wellbeing, and just thank God for it.
